A little background story…

A passion for clean-up started with growing up in a big household. Sharing a space with multiple siblings meant we spent most of our time at home and doing most activities in indoors and outdoors. Which therefore required a tidy space. Every weekend was dedicated to spring cleaning, like we were expecting guests.

An African proverbs about cleaning a house often “emphasize personal responsibility, diligence, and the connection between a tidy home and a well-ordered life or community.” Highlighting that maintaining one's own space prevents broader chaos, with themes of proactive maintenance ("new broom") and personal accountability ("sweep your own door").
